This sharp, hardened point for the Crain No. 265 Stand-Up Cutter has a precision-machined slot for guiding a utility blade. It punctures glued-down carpet for fast starts. As the point is pushed, it rides on the subfloor and lifts the carpet to the blade where it is cut. Works with all previous models of the cutter.
